Devin is an award-winning art director and creative producer. She excels at breaking down complex subjects through clear, emotive narratives in videos, graphics and narratives that combine words with visuals.
Most recently, as the head of creative at The Nature Conservancy California, Devin oversaw the organization’s communication channels, brand strategy and storytelling. She and her team partnered with climate scientists to communicate the importance and urgency of their work, the climate crisis and more broadly the dynamic conditions of the natural world.
Along with her background working with world-renowned climate scientists, she has also partnered with design pioneers and innovation leaders. She has worked as a design lead at IDEO, focusing on global brand and content strategy. She worked closely on content strategy for IDEO.com and IDEO’s social media platforms. She launched, produced and co-managed the Webby Award winning blog, The Octopus.
She has produced work for IDEO, Google, Nike, Audi, FitBit, Acura, The Nature Conservancy, and Good Eggs.
Her latest personal project, Feeding The Giant, takes an in-depth look at food industry workers’ daily struggle—a struggle to live in a system of economic oppression in which low wages act as a catalyst for other forms of hardship, such as sexual harassment, and racial and gender discrimination. The project includes stories from workers in nine states across America. Every person and place has a story worth telling. That’s how Devin approaches her creative projects and her life. She’s fueled by the natural beauty of the world and the complex nature of human beings. She is happiest sleeping under the stars and has a goal to visit as many dark sky zones as possible, camera in hand.
